Designing your dream home is something that many of us wish to be able to do. To be able to buy a plot of land and then just build everything from scratch, exactly in the way that you want it – of course, even building your dream home comes with its problems though.
The first problem is that it never comes out quite how you want it to, well not everything at least. There will always be one or two things that you wish could have been done differently. You have almost all control over the design of the house.
But when it is in blueprint form it is mostly imagination anyway, it is when the actual building begins when the cracks show and then after this when you begin to design the interior of your home. Choosing the right range of contemporary bathroom cabinets for example or choosing the right tile pattern for the splash back behind you brand new sink.
The key problem in designing your own home is that the reality won't quite match what you have imagined. But this doesn't have to be the end of the world.
Sometimes the reality is even better than the imagination because you can actually see it before your eyes. And once you live in it, it will become home in any case.
