Creative Skills, who work with creative practitioners in Cornwall, asked
Empress to devise a quick-ref guide capturing all the scary stuff you
need to know if you run your own business. They wanted something fresh and imaginative, presenting intimidating subject matter accessibly. We gave them a credit-card sized concertina leaflet with a bright, friendly look and feel. We used the existing brand colours and illustration, tactile paper stocks and a subtly shimmering gold ink for the background.
We think this demonstrates Empress' ability to produce effective, attractive design solutions whatever the subject matter. We don’t claim this leaflet will make doing your tax return any easier, but it will give you something nice to look at while you're thinking about cash flow forecasts or profit and loss statements...
