Hidden Art Cornwall are another client who we have been working with for a number of years. Back in the spring we won a pitch (yay us!) to design the materials for their annual Design Fair.

We took the opportunity to revisit our previous work and build on residual event recognition, continuing with the camouflage but using it bigger and bolder. We were asked to include designers’ objects in the materials (pourquoi? because the purpose of the fair is to sell the work of designer-makers, mais oui). The end design used the enlarged camo, overlaid onto scaled-up pieces of work, all chosen for their strong or intriguing shapes. A colour palette was devised which gave each item of print distinction, reflecting the one-off nature of much of the work sold at the Design Fair.

Empress have recently been exploring ways of joining forces with innovative, talented people. This project was produced collaboratively with Neil Tinson Studio, with photography by Lorna Newman.
